Have you ever wanted to follow a career in architectural journalism? Tonight, editors Laura Marks of Architects Journal and James Taylor-Foster of Arch Daily share their insights on working in media, and in-particular the architectural media.
Chaired by industry media expert Andrea Klettner, formerly BD news editor, the open-panel discussion will consider the current state of architecture writing, journalism and criticism. The speakers will discuss how their education in architecture and practice experience impacted their current professional path, as well as the benefits – and potential pitfalls – of writing about architecture from the perspective of the designer.
It’s the fourth talk in the series Alternative Careers in Architecture examining the different roles of architecture in other career disciplines. Presented by the Museum of Architecture it will be held at the specialist communications agency, ING Media, offices on 44-46 Scrutton St, EC2.
